| Okay, time to update the site since "some people" are starting to call names! We just got back from Winter Camp. Brian and I cooked - this was Amanda's first year since she is a big-time freshman! Oooh, la la! We had a great time - exhausting- but fun. We cooked for approximately 135 people - that's three meals a day times four days times 135 people which equals one whole bottle of xanax and one-half bottle of vicodin for all you math majors out there!!!! Christmas was good. The brat got too many presents as usual - yes, the stupid ipod! New Years we were asleep by 10:30 (old people) but we are looking forward to a fabulous 2006! School starts back on Tuesday for me and I can't wait - til the year is over!! Thought I had over taken the xanax thing huh?! No, I really am looking forward to this summer though. We will go to California again and do junior camp again - the brat will work in the kitchen again and so I will work in the med shed and Brian will do the counseling thing one more year - actually this will be year 10. The next week, the brat will do senior camp by herself and I think Brian and I will fly to Vegas for a few days to recover and have a little fun! The brat just said "really?" Yes, really, we are going to vacation without her!!!! Well, gotta run, laundry calls and so does the recliner - now that's lazy! Stacey | | |

| Welllllll, we have been having a blast here in California!! Saturday morning we went to San Pedro and picked up my cousin off of Pier 93, where the Disney Cruise ships dock, and took her to Knott's Berry Farms! We have a great time - fun, good food, shopping! We had to get her back to the ship (she's a physical therapist on the Disney Magic) by 1 pm and so we then went and explored the Garden Grove area where Lynn grew up. Had a good time. Sunday was church and recovery day. Yesterday we went to Huntington Beach and it was fabulous! The local high schools weren't out yet so the beach was not crowded at all!!! We were responsbile adults and made sure Kevin got sunblock on frequently, but did we think to put any on ourselves or Amanda and Ellen? Idiots! We are so sunburned. We look like lobsters and feel like an old leather shoe! But, in our defense, we did have a good time. The surf was great - body surfing and board surfing. The girls did great - Lynn and I were more like beached whales. Oh well... We were going to play out by the pool today since Ellen has a band meeting this afternoon, but since current skin conditions still apply, we will be going to see a movie! We are supposed to go to New Port Beach on Wednesday - I guess that will depend on how fast our sunburns heal!! Well, I must go and begin getting ready for the day! ttyl! Stacey. | | |
| Hey, we are in California! The flight was good, just too long! Three hours! Actually, with the time change, we left Texas at 9:14 and arrived California at 10:16. Of course, they are two hours behind us so we were in flight for three hours. It is gorgeous here, we might stay - Brian might have a problem with that! Laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.! We can look out Lynn and Eric's back windows and see the San Gabriel Mountains! They are beautiful! Yet we are about 1 hour from a beach! How weird is that? We are going to the docks at San Pedro tomorrow to see my cousin Mackenzie who is a physical therapist for the Disney Magic cruise ship. She is here in Cali instead of Florida for the big 50th Anniversary so we are going to hook up with her tomorrow and go play! Isn't that weird to be in Cali at the same time? It was truly not planned, just worked out that way. Today is Ellen's last day of school and so we pick her up at noon and will probably do some shopping! What, did you think I wouldn't sneak that in?! We watched Phantom of the Opera last night - yeah, I'm lame and that's the first time I've seen it - remember Brian hates going to the movies and would never watch that movie with me. Someone has to die within the first two minutes of the movie and there has to be horses, guns, or lots of fights for him to be interested. He is such a man! Well, ya'll behave in Texas! We'll be back the 18th. ttl - Stacey. | | |
| Hey all!! Amanda made me a site - I feel very hip and computer savy but you all know how untrue both those things are!! I am having a good summer and I hope everyone else is too. We have been busy but are having a good time! I am working for Mom and Dad in Cleburne most days and having fun but I am ready for a break! Amanda and I head to California on Thursday - our plane leaves EARLY! Yuck! Who booked those hours?! Oh yeah, I did - IDIOT! That was for you Mel... We had a graduation party for my cousin here at the house yesterday - she graduated from OU the day of prom and so we didn't get to go. Her name is Megan Krannig and she got a job working as a meteorologist for a station out of Sherman, OK and will start going on-air June 13th. We are soooo excited to have a celebrity in the family. She hopes to only be in OK for a year or so before coming to the metroplex - she has to get her feet wet in the little markets. We had fun. Brian cooked steaks and we swam. Look out diet, here I come!!! I scared Amanda when I came outside in my swimsuit!! It was baaaaad!! I am totally committed to the rice cakes, celery and water now!!!!! Tofu looks good to me!! See everyone later! Keep in touch!! Stacey. | | |
